Dinner with Jamie

I had a great time at Dinner with my very special friend Jamie. We have known each other 7 years and she is just the most precious thing in the whole world. She is so giving and her heart is so pure. There are so many people that CALL them selves Christians I have found but their actions are so far from that, she , no doubt, is filled with the Spirit and it shows !!! I love you Jamie, you are so precious to me and the Sister that I have always wanted. She gave me this desk for C.J. when I went to her house tonight...wow! that brought back lots of fun memories,,so sweet of her and as you can see C.J. loves it!!!!

Pool fun with friends this week!

C.J. and I had so much fun with our friends the last few days at their pools. Monday we went to hang out with Kim, Josh and Alex at the JCC Pool. C.J. and Josh have been friends since they were 14 months old and I am so looking forward to Soccer this Fall where they will be on the same team again.

Today we went and hung out with my other good friend Vickey and her kids; Kedric, Allison and Audra..we have known them since I was pregnant with C.J..Vickey was so nice to bring me food a few times that first week I came home with C.J. from the Hospital..I feel very blessed to have Kim and Vicky as my "Sister's" they are very special to me !!!!

R.I.P. Farrah..God has His Angel with Him now!!

Fun Father's Day weekend with Friends..

We had such a good time with our friends in the Country, as we like to call them, Roxanne, Bob and Joshua..the boys played on the Slip-N-Slide, we had a great dinner and we ended up spending the night in their beautiful guest House...we are looking forward to spending 4th of July with them also..thank you God for special friends:)

more VBS fun!!!

First day of VBS!!

Today was the first day of VBS and C.J. and I had so much fun! It is so amazing all the people that volunteer, we have 850 kids this year and 300 volunteers. I have never been C.J.'s Teacher before, this is his 3rd year going, but I am so glad I am his Teacher this year. I love how tonight he asked me, "Mom, will you be my Teacher tomorrow?" it just melts my heart...besides becoming a Christian for the first time I have to say that this is the most amazing love I have ever felt for anyone. I love my sweet Husband more than words can say, he really is my best friend, but it's a different kind of love with your Child, I'm sure any Mom would say that.
I am thankful that I have listened to God speak to my heart about making sure that C.J. learns as much as he can at a very early age about how much Christ loves him and that if C.J. was the only person on earth that believed in Him He would still die for him.
I love seeing how sweet these kids are and wish that adults were more like them. I really don't understand how people even call them selves Christians and yet don't have that unconditional love in there hearts for others as Christ has called them to do. How do we not show mercy to others when so much has been shown to us??? I need this in my life and am so grateful for the opportunity to be the hands and feet that Christ has called me to be and say thank you to all the Volunteers that have sacrificed their week to take part in the lives of all these precious kids!!!

Trip to Mississippi

We had a great time in Ms. a few weeks ago. We got to finally go to a Hammon's Reunion and had so much fun seeing everyone. We had a wonderful time seeing C.J.'s GREAT Grandparents, Gamaw and Papaw, and C.J.'s Grandmother, Mimi, and his Uncles, Dustin and Ricky.We sooo wish that they lived closer. Mimi just ADORES C.J. and it makes me sad that she can't see him more, it makes her so sad when she has to say good bye to him and having a Grandmother that loves him so much BUT lives so far away makes me VERY sad. That is such a special relationship that God gives to Grandparents and to see that he doesn't have that on a weekly or even Monthly basis makes me feel at times that he is cheated out of something so precious..you have to just , as a friend of mine has told me, look at it as icing on the Cake and make the most of it when they are together. My friend also told me NOT to make my experience HIS experience and that really spoke to my heart...although I want so much more for him, what Mother doesn't , he's only 5 and doesn't really see the things that he is missing out on, he just wants to be a 5 year old, it is when he gets older and wants him self to have Grandparents come to his School functions and Sporting events and it will be him that is able to pick the phone up and call...they grow so fast and it is really sad that sometimes the one's you love the most miss out on the most important things in life!!!

C.J. and I had such a good time today at the pool with our special Friends;Kim, Alex and Josh. They boys have been friends since they were 14 months old and it is so hard to believe they are 5 now...time really does fly!!! Thank you Kim for all these wonderful years of friendship...you never know C.J. and Alex could get married one day and them we really would be Family...I would love that!!!!
