We had a great time in Ms. a few weeks ago. We got to finally go to a Hammon's Reunion and had so much fun seeing everyone. We had a wonderful time seeing C.J.'s GREAT Grandparents, Gamaw and Papaw, and C.J.'s Grandmother, Mimi, and his Uncles, Dustin and Ricky.We sooo wish that they lived closer. Mimi just ADORES C.J. and it makes me sad that she can't see him more, it makes her so sad when she has to say good bye to him and having a Grandmother that loves him so much BUT lives so far away makes me VERY sad. That is such a special relationship that God gives to Grandparents and to see that he doesn't have that on a weekly or even Monthly basis makes me feel at times that he is cheated out of something so precious..you have to just , as a friend of mine has told me, look at it as icing on the Cake and make the most of it when they are together. My friend also told me NOT to make my experience HIS experience and that really spoke to my heart...although I want so much more for him, what Mother doesn't , he's only 5 and doesn't really see the things that he is missing out on, he just wants to be a 5 year old, it is when he gets older and wants him self to have Grandparents come to his School functions and Sporting events and it will be him that is able to pick the phone up and call...they grow so fast and it is really sad that sometimes the one's you love the most miss out on the most important things in life!!!
